  • Excellent food and great atmosphere with typical French Alps cuisine. Great meet selection! Fantastic fondue. Unfortunately, the waiter was not very experienced and could not explain if vegetables were included with the meet or if to be purchased separately. Also English was not spoken so difficult to understand the large menu or to get any suggestions. I believe as it was quite an expensive dinner I would have appreciated more experienced staff serving at the table and taking the order at least as many of the other waiters were fluent in English.

  • From the goose foie gras poêlée with a berry coulis and the foie gras medallions with brioche through the île flottante and the pear almond tart desserts, this was a terrific meal. The porcini (cèpe) mushroom cappuccino is a must try as an appetizer and they have an amazing wine list. The duck magret was quite good as were the fish dishes. Expect to pay handsomely for this great experience in an intimate setting but we thought it was worth it.

  • The food, wine and service here is lovely. We ordered two starters and two mains and only one main was slightly disappointing (the duck was served on a hot tray that meant that the duck was slightly overcooked by the time it was finished off). Definitely order wine and definitely order the cepe cappuccino - it's the best soup I've had to date. One tip: don't walk here from Meribel. Either get a bus to Altiport or take a taxi. We followed Google maps and ended up walking down the Altiport ski slope in pitch black......

  • Le Cèpe restaurant offers a culinary experience that is truly memorable, featuring uniquely crafted dishes that are a must-try when in the region. However, locating the restaurant can be a challenge; you could skii to the Round Point in the village near Méribel, stop there, and walk for about 5 minutes. Don't miss the chance to indulge in the exquisite cep cappuccino (mushroom soup) and the tenderloin with cepes – they are exceptional. While the food is outstanding, the staff could enhance the overall experience by being a bit more gentle.

  • As with most of the reviewers here - definitely one of the best restaurants in Meribel, if not THE best. Amazing presentation and brilliant rich flavours in every dish that we ordered. Service was impeccable and it made me realise that it is possible to get a perfect meal up on the mountain! The duck mains was creamy and delicious. The escargot entree was a surprise - who knew buttery, parsley, garlic and snails could taste so delectable?! The foie gras and the Boite de fromage was some of the best. The complementary digestif was massively needed at the end of this rich meal but so worth it. Yum yum yum.

  • Great restaurant with a good seafood selection and meat dishes options from their own drying room cut in front of you with a great wine list, the service is focused however not very clear in their communication as an example how they attempt to push the consumption of food bigger portions of the meat and of the seafood options, otherwise the seafood and meat quality is excellent.

  • Really, really good food. We were a big table and everyone ate exceptionally well. Excellent fish, excellent meat, very good French fries and, most importantly, an absolutely delicious blueberry pie. It’s huge and made with 8kg of blueberries. It’s refreshing to find food of this quality in a busy ski resort, where it’s often hard to reconcile the bill with what’s actually on your plate. This place is a true gem. Service could have been a bit faster. We were a large group, so that may have played a part, but it was well worth the wait. I don’t write many reviews, but the fact that our entire table left happy says a lot (really it's nothing short of a small miracle). I hope the food quality and the chef stay the same. It was genuinely superior to any other lunch we had during the week.
